RBC GAM Chief Economist Eric Lascelles looks at the data and sees a mixed picture. New cases of COVID-19 are declining, but the rate of decline has been frustratingly slow. There are signs that some economies are incrementally restarting, but this may be constrained by the lack of effective therapies and by rates of COVID-19 transmission that are not yet low.
