David is the Head of RBC GAM Private Markets Mortgage Investments (Managing Director & Head of Mortgage Investments at RBC GAM). David is actively involved in the leadership, expansion, and operations of the mortgage investment business. David is responsible for all portfolio management aspects of the RBC GAM mortgage funds including origination strategy, credit, and asset management. During his time at RBC GAM, David has been involved in some of Canada’s most complex real estate finance transactions and successfully invested in over $20BN of mortgage investments. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, David spent seven years at CMLS Financial in various roles including development of a mortgage risk analysis department that provided market transaction oversight, valuation, and research.
