Whit Porter, Managing Director

Prior to founding the Infrastructure Investment Group, Whit was formerly a Senior Manager in Macquarie Capital Funds group. Whit’s primary role at Macquarie was to raise capital for Macquarie’s infrastructure private funds and co-investment transactions.

Prior to joining Macquarie, Whit worked for SSgA Global Alliance, LLC and two of its direct affiliates. SSgA Global Alliance is a joint venture between SSgA, one of the world’s largest institutional investment management firms, and ABP, the Dutch pension plan for civil servants. SSgA Global Alliance is an early investor in investment management firms that are primarily in the alternative space.

Prior to SSgA Global Alliance, Whit worked in the capital markets division of Wachovia Securities (formerly First Union Capital Markets) focused on diversified manufacturing opportunities. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Vermont and studied at Queens College in London.
