Phillips, Hager & North Investment Management Ltd.

Overview

Phillips, Hager & North Investment Management Ltd. (PH&N) has grown to become one of Canada’s leading institutional investment management firms.

Investment Approach and Achievements

Our competitive advantage is an ability to attract highly qualified investment professionals, while making significant ongoing investments in investment research and technology. We follow a disciplined and conservative approach to investing with a clear focus on the long term. With over forty years of investment management experience, we have in place a firm set of values and principles and our disciplines have stood the test of many market cycles.

We have been fortunate to grow our business primarily through the referrals of highly satisfied clients. And in 2010, Phillips, Hager & North® is the Lipper Awards winner for Best Bond Fund Family and the Best Overall Fund Group, with the PH&N Short Term Bond & Mortgage Fund and the PH&N High Yield Bond Fund (fourth consecutive year) winners in their respective categories. We were also recognized for Best Bond Fund Family in 2007 and 2008 and that's an impressive track record.

On May 1, 2008, PH&N joined forces with RBC Asset Management Inc. This partnership provides our clients with access to additional resources that, over time, will help us evolve in tandem with our clients’ increasingly sophisticated needs, while retaining our own founding mission and core values.
